God’s Mercy Makes Us Merciful

Today we continue our sermon series in the book of James, Everyday Gospel. In James 2:8-13, James points out the reality that failing to obey the law in one area means we’ve been disobedient to all of it, and he charges us to choose mercy over judgment.

1) The standard is love (vs. 8).

2) The evidence is sin (vs. 9-11).

3) The solution is mercy.

4) Mercy received becomes mercy revealed.
