Place Your Dependence in the Lord
1 Samuel 29-30 | Kevin Geier | 7/19/26
Today we continue in our series, Who is King?, in 1 Samuel. In chapter 29-30, David’s attempt to fight with the Philistines fails, and he returns to Ziklag. He finds Ziklag burned to the ground, with all the women and children taken captive. David inquires of the Lord, and decides to go up against the Amalekites to recover everything that was lost, including the women and children.
Elder Kevin Geier highlights three points from the chapter:
1) God can be depended on.
2) God will not share our dependence.
3) In dependence, we find God’s presence.
