God Has a Remedy for the Church in Gospel Opposition

Acts 4:23-31 | Eric Hovis | 10/12/25

This week, we continue with our Why Church? series. In chapter 4:23-31 of Acts, Peter and John return to their friends after their time before the Sanhedrin to pray together as a community.

Pastor Eric highlights three key aspects of God’s remedy in gospel opposition as found in the text:

1) The medicine of friendship (v. 23)

2) The rest found in God’s sovereignty (vv. 24-28)

3) The strength found in praying for boldness (vv. 29-31)
