What is a Healthy Church?

Acts 2:42-47 | Eric Hovis | 9/14/25

This week, we continue with our Why Church? series. In chapter 2:42-47 of Acts, we see the aftermath of Peter’s sermon at Pentecost and what the local church looked like as a result.

Pastor Eric shares four devotions of a healthy church found in our text: teaching God’s Word, fellowship, breaking bread, and praying. He also highlights five fruits of a healthy church from the text: awe & wonder (v. 43), generosity & sharing (vv. 44-45), hospitality & joy (v. 46), favor in the community (v. 47), and growing in number (v. 47).
